spent the Sunday evening in Le Fouquet's, one of the most famously posh restaurants in Paris (an overpriced brasserie, but it's really well known), and guess who were his guests:

  • Martin Bouygues (Bouygues, TF1, Alstom)
  • Vincent Bolloré (Direct TV, free papers, Havas, CSA polls)
  • Alain Minc (all around insider)

Arnaud Lagardère (Lagardère media) wasn't there, but that's because he was with Sarkozy at his campaign headquarters earlier in the day...

Antoine Bernheim (ex-Lazard, now Generali) and Albert Frere (the richest man in Belgium and the biggest shareholder in Total, Suez and M6 TV) were with Lagardère at the headquarters.

This is all according to Le Canard Encahiné, which NEVER gets these things wrong.
