He's got one of the figures wrong: The US has not lost 760,000 jobs, net. The number is much higher, when you take the growth in the labor market into account.
Roberts, like me, takes a steep decline in the dollar as a given, as I think most of us do. (However, the dollar has been gaining against the euro and pound.) Where he and I disagree is on how painful that will be. Not that I don't think it will be painful. I certainly do. But I don't see an "End of the World" scenario coming. Conservatives want live babies so they can raise them to be dead soldiers. - George Carlin
