US Ratio is 10% : 5% or 2:1 as you correctly pointed out. French Ratio (if we look at the original post) 14% : 9.2% or actually 1.52:1, which is a much better situation than what you paint in your post. Not to mention the fact that Jerome's post from below shows an even smaller difference between unemployment rates for immigrants and locals.
