Aren't military votes overwhelmingly Republican?

I've spoken to a few soldiers lately who expressed a keen desire for leadership, a quality that they actually came out and said was lacking in their current commander in chief.

Good Question. It's difficult to tell. I think people in the top of the military are overwhelminly republican but it's a different story for the others. I am a member of Democrats Abroad and we have quite a few veterans in our group. Our DA Chair was a physician in the military until her base closed.  As a volunteer for Overseasvote2004, I rec'd emails from people in the military that were democratic and preferred to use our website. It's very difficult for people in the military. Many soldiers have to fax their ballot by handing it to someone over a counter and they have no privacy and they lose the opportunity to cast a secret ballot. We rec'd many positive emails from both parties actually.  Unfortunately, many people did not receive their ballot in time and did not get an opportunity to vote. We are working hard to change that this time. Check out the survey results when you can.
