Welcome to the new version of European Tribune. It's just a new layout, so everything should work as before - please report bugs here.

I have made three attempts to avoid wasting band-width (Whiskey Bar, LeSpeakeasy and EuropeanTribune e-mail addresses), but all bounced back to me so I write here to accept the invitation with pleasure.

I(and my significant other) will be staying at the

Hôtel de l'Avenir
65, Rue Madame
75006 Paris
Métro: Saint-Placide (4) - Luxembourg (RER B)
Tél: 33.(0)1.55.33.16.55
Fax: 33.(0)1.55.33.16.56

and will arrive on Saturday morning 25 June. The conference (in honor of Luc Illusie) at Orsay runs from Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 to 18:00 (lunch from 12:30-14:30) with a party Tuesday night. Otherwise I should be either free or with non-binding committments, until our departure Friday evening (1 July) at 18:00. Either drop an e-mail line to me, or perhaps better, leave a message at the hotel.

Je dois m'excuser pour non avoir répondu en français, mais comme la plupart des américains, j'ai un accent odieux e une grammaire trés mauvaise.

Ciao,

Although I wouldn't understand the first concept, I must say I'm tempted to attend a conference where the contributions have titles such as: "A finiteness theorem for non abelian cohomology of excellent schemes" or "Sur les types d'homotopie des variétés kählériennes et projectives"...

And I love the title of this publication from Luc Illusie: "Perversité et variation"!

BTW, I will be in Paris on the 30th and the 1st...
