Hi Hannah - when you toggle the "+ ", the piece is then saved into your "Hannah's page site", so you can read it later, store it for the information, etc. Hitting the "-" toggle, unsaves it. You can also subscribe to certain favored writers too, so you will get all of their articles saved into your "Hannah's page". Additionally, all of the comments you have made on others diaries and articles are noted in your page, and you can also see who has responded to your comments. I suggest exploring your "Hannah's page" site thoroughly, which you can only do when you log on...but there is a lot there...I'm still learning about what all the various preferences mean for the pages mean (like "nested", etc.)!! Check it out! The blog world...a whole new world, isn't it?

Thanks for the enlightenment. I seem to "log-in" automatically, but thanks to you I now understand the Home Page mechanism better. Presumably this sort of information is also "embedded" at the Scoop site but I didn't dig beyond their welcome page, and my faith in "personal intervention" has been rewarded.

Thanks again. I hope this has been useful for others too.

Your welcome...and I hope it helps others too. I recently found out a bit more about RSS feeds (though still have more to learn) when Soj posted a "how to" on RSS feeds here.

Anyone out there able to explain to me the meaning of the various display settings (nested, etc.), and what these refer to??
