Yes, rdf, you can look at it that way. But I suppose the answer depends on the definition of 'real action'. Can we classify the U.S. invasion of Iraq under that term? There seems to be a lot of U.S. action covering up an even greater amount of inaction or, maybe better yet, dishonest action. It might just be that the European approach to Iran will prove successful. After all, if the U.S. had waited a while longer before beginning to implement their action in Iraq, more Europeans might just have joined them and a lot of the present chaos might just have been avoided. A mere suggestion on my part.

Actually I was thinking more of the problems in Africa and some of the former Soviet clients than about Iran.

Certainly the US policy just announced with India shows a certain degree of hypocrisy. But two wrongs don't make the international situation better (to coin a phrase).
