Does anyone know what kind of butterfly this is. It is a little irritating, because when you watch it, it looks as if it is flying backwards. In the picture it is flying toward the upper right corner.

We met a stray cat along the path, young and very hungry, who was constantly meowing. It was probably not feral as it liked to follow hikers.
As it was following us, we happened upon a water reserve for fire fighting, and where horses and sheep were able to drink (the Cévennes are very dry in the summer). The kitten took upon the occasion to drink :
At one of the gîte d'étape, we met hikers who had rented a donkey to do the carrying :
