EstHer is too busy talking to her friends on MSN so I'll post her explanation. She had this keychain holder made of metal with a hole in it shaped like a star in the photo above. She then photographed the keychain holder, in front of a white wall, several centimeters from the camera. The result, the white star you see is the white wall in the shape of the hole and the dark part is the solid keychain holder.
It took my two kids  20 minutes to explain this to me. They said I was slow; I said they were not skillful communicators and that they had to work harder in school.
