have a look from about 3:30 into part 10,

and 2 and a half minutes into part 11 for some particularly mindboggling bits

although you can probably watch any part and find one or two examples of things that are utterly, utterly ludicrously disasterous.

Yeah, interesting info.  More of the same incompetence matched only by the thought processes that went into the decision to invade Iraq in the first place.

I'll never forget during one of my trips to Jordan in the mid 90s.  By a quirk of fate I got a car ride from a Jordanian or Palestinian guy (I had never actually met face to face) who had rather close ties to the Iraqi establishment (take my word for this).  The guy was very polite and we had an interesting conversation about Sadam Hussein. One of the memorable things he said about America's unhappiness with Iraq was "you know there are worse things than Sadam." I suppose a few people wish they had had that little bit of inconsequential advice about now.

What Sir Jeremy Greenstock says 6:50-7:20 in is very revealing -- about Bliar & the other less insane participants.

JG He couldn't find the means to persuade the Americans to do things differently or to speed up the things that were going wrong.
q;Even though he had the ear of the president
JG:Well he did say these things but what can you do at that point but keep going, but I don't think he wanted to analyse fully in his own mind the consequences of these not being going right. there was a certain ammount in all of us, we were all part of a team, of surely this has got to go right at some point.
