Well, this teacher is kind of hard to understand. He tends to change his opinion from time to time (I once had a series of three photos I showed him. He told me to ditch numbers 1 and 3 and keep number 2. The next week he accidentally re-evaluated the same photos and told me to ditch number 2 and keep 1 and 3... and no, it was not a slip or a language problem). He likes modern, abstract, out of focus stuff.. gritty street photos, stuff like that, but also sometimes these modern, simplistic, flat photos of typical Dutch houses standing in the typical Dutch scenery, for example, stuff I find somewhat boring.

I'm a very literalminded person and do not consider myself an artist. My wish is to become a documentary/journalistic photographer. Some of my teachers are more geared towards "artistic" photography. Finding my style is a "work in progress" and will be for a while..
