Yep - the original had a bit more pertinent information in it than LEP's version, which was cropped for compositional reasons alone (sorry LEP). LEP thought the leaves were just a tiled background ie decorative. You need the perspective depth of the tarmac to understand what the leaves are and how they got there.

There's a hell of a lot of information in the leaves ;-)

I hate to complicate this fascinating discussion about life and leaves and swirls but I just found this photo on my hard drive taken 20 seconds earlier than the other one, that both estHer and I prefer.

In the original Esther framing, there are some important details. Only 3 fingers are used to carry the acoustic guitar in a bag. The guitar neck points down at some leaves with almost a magnetic attraction. There's another 2 metres of leaves in the distance.
