Unfortunately it looks as if I might be here a long time - as this is about the only place on the south coast where Montserrat can find appropriate work. I know lots of people would love to live here, but the city itself is not very nice (excuse pun). I much prefer Montpellier (as I've probably said) - which has lots of pedestrianised areas, far fewer motorbikes/scooters, and more nice, open squares with trees and cafes. Oh well, there are much worse fates :-) and nice little places like Villefranche (see photo) are easy to get to.

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner - that I moved to Nice.
