You know, the creativity of young people is the only thing which gives me hope. And there is a very fine balance between offering help and screwing up their vision. Many fine artists have been destroyed by regimented teaching, but also many fine artists have never seen the light of day because of their own misguided desire to conform.
What can we oldies do? Well I could say that we just need to be there like a reliable tap to be turned on when cool, reliable, refreshing liquidity is needed at a moment's notice. But, as you and I know. it's just about being there and being loving. You can't be me, I'm taken
One day people will ask you 'But why do you like it up there in the right hand corner?'
Don't fall into that trap until you finish school. After that you'll be able to give them some explanation that makes them happy. But you'll still know that you just like it up there in the right hand corner. Keep that to yourself ;-)
