What struck me most about North Wales was the immense variety of colors and textures in its landscapes, and of course the abundance of water. Reflective pools, ocean, creeks. [rain too : ]. A veritable treat for the senses.

Near Llangollen:

In rolling fields somewhere between Mold and Conwy:

Close to the summit of Cadair Idris. The trail enters from the valley in the upper right quadrant of the image. But, oh, I kept wondering where the switchbacks were. The path went straight up!:

Did you come down from Cader Idris mad or a poet?

Any idiot can face a crisis - it's day to day living that wears you out.

Wonderful photos!!! Especially the first, with the patch of Sunlight falling in the middle.

I instantly recognised the landscape on it. The location of a breathtaking autumn photo by In Wales in the same valley just a mile away from  Made your location was was identified a year ago...

Thanks for the complements and additional links.

I spoke about color, texture and water, but light is what makes it all happen.

grazi, mélo.

I'm a tad ashamed to have published 'feel-good' travel-log images, such as these these, quite honestly, but Wales is in fact very beautiful.

Otherwise I tend to agree with rdf, below.

well, a lot of what i take and share is feel good travelogue too, but you feel funny sharing pix of your nearest and dearest on public blogs (without their permission!), and so i think even these pix are helpful to understanding a bit more about our fellow posters...

for instance i now know you have a fine eye and appreciate beautiful countryside...

bring 'em on!
