They are in a French government plane. Tsarkozy is playing this for maximum personal profit.

He had his wife fly out with the Real Prime Minister (his advisor Claude Guéant), taking Benita Ferrero-Waldner with them. He supplied the plane to fly the hostages back to Sofia. He will later be meeting Ghadafi to discuss Libya's relations witht he EU and, one may well imagine, with France.

When will the first Souring on Sarko comments be heard in the non-French media? (I say non-French, because in France... Prominent soundbites feature in the news like Tsarko saying it was "about time this got sorted because it has been dragging on for eight years".)

Gosh, it's a pity that Sarko wasn't in government for all those years, isn't it?
