An interesting question, then, is whether regional dining habits will begin to change. Southern Europe is olive oil based and more northerly areas butter. Will global warming drive olive oil north? Or, has transportation/such muted that implication now?

Those of in northern climates who like Mediterranean cuisine will be able eat locally?  (Sarcasm)

It's a very interesting question.  I feel like our dining habits have already changed radically in the past 20 years with globalization and the organic movement...  What would the implications be?  I suspect change in our dining habits would spring more from economic matters (cost of gas is already affecting things, people going into forclosure less likely to shop at Whole Foods, that kind of thing) than from the temp. changes, for the time being.

After that, we'll all die in evironmental catastrophe... no need to eat. ;)
