I would also note that not one person from management has posted a photo.

I don't have a single photo to post here, which doesn't mean I'm not interested in other people's.

Among the front-pagers, only Colman (I think) is a really keen photographer, and he's away. (As for Bob, he's just brave ;)).

As to Kremlinological speculations: no flurry of front-pager emails followed the announcement of this photo blog. In fact, not one single exchange. No dark designs were laid, no occult decisions to favour or disfavour the project. I hope this eases your mind. :-)

Why can't you let me have my conspiracy theories, afew.

Modest management :-) It would do the photo more justice to have it at 600 - now the recommended size.

I downloaded it to have a better look - isn't your original is a bit big and 300 dpi ! - or am I wrong?

You might not have noticed this from afew:

If your original photo is, say, 800 x 600 (top limit for free accounts on Photobucket), and you post it with width="400", you'll get a smaller display but the browser still has to load all the bytes of the original, and that may be quite a lot.

This is why we are having the discussion in the other thread Graphics on ET, so that we can reach a consensus and help the less technical amongst us to edit and post their photos.

We won't be beating anyone up who gets it wrong at first and we appreciate all contributions.

Well I hope nobody sees my comment as beating him up :-) He might not have realised there was any problem.
