Ah yes, we'll always have Paris:

Not really like a billy-goat, but yes, he can get around pretty good esp. with the help of a cane for longer distances.
He still has his license and a better driving record then either of his grandsons!
He still cooks all his own meals and does all the housework except deep-cleaning (once every other week a cleaning person comes).
Still reads the Times everyday and 4 or 5 weekly magazines (New Yorker, Harpers, etc.).
I always say: "If I'm a tenth the man he is at his age, I'll be very happy".
Thanks for noticing his strength of character...
I told Bush; don't play chess with the freakin' Russians.

As promised, this morning's breakfast TV appearance. It was too complicated to get it wired up, but the director was pleased to have what is known in the trade as a 'bit of business'.
Thank you for your support. I shall wear it always. You can't be me, I'm taken
Sven Triloqvist:
I'll probably be on Finnish Breakfast TV later this week in celebration of a noted rock star's 60th birthday. It's not my choice, but I must return a favour. I thought first I would present him with a chocolate cake with a light bulb sticking in it. I'd say there's not enough room for that many candles, but it's a 60 watt bulb - and then switching the lamp on say, 'anyway, it was a good idea'. Of course I have to get this past the electrician's union. But then I thought I don't support incandescent lamps - so should I stick in a flourescent and say 'I know it's only 11 watts, but it's equivalent to 60.' I know, I know - I live a futile life... But which should I do? The neat joke or the progressive joke? I mean, with the latter, I might get a follow up question about energy. Or....I could do both. Start with the 60 watt, then pull it out and switch it for the 11 watt to make a point. Hmmm

I'd post the video except only 2 people would have the obscure language skills to understand what the tintorella di luna we are talking about, and my RW name appears on screen. You can't be me, I'm taken

Hello to all. Off to Nevada next week to work on the Edwards campaign. I can't believe he's trailing the two status quo politicians in the Democratic party, but what the hell can you do except go try? "I said, 'Wait a minute, Chester, You know I'm a peaceful man...'" Robbie Robertson
My father (in the dress) and his two brothers near their tent home, about 1920. Their father was working in the Northern Louisiana/East Texas oil fields; he would die of pneumonia the next year and leave my pregnant grandmother to take care of four children. Their baby sister had already passed away at 1 year of age. I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell. _ Blood Sweat & Tears
