I've overlooked the Russian Reading Challenge... point me in the direction of a link please. I have already read Night Watch, Day Watch and Twilight Watch (and if you haven't you really should) - do they count?

I'm not a masochist, I just preferred to spend as much time as possible doing more enjoyable things than thesis writing.  I produce my best work when under intense and urgent pressure to get things done and that mindset just didn't kick in until December. I also have a busy job which hasn't left much spare time for a life let alone thesis writing in recent months.

Yeah alright, funny coincidence, not a funny ha ha way but just, you know.

I may have a bit more cellulite lurking around but still...

(Am not)

Haven't you ever suffered team building days?  Where they put you in with a group of incompetant, huge-egoed managers and couldn't give a shit admin staff and make you do pointless 'tasks' all in the spirit of bonding with colleagues you would usually never wish to talk to.

Yeah I don't care. I try to care but I can't bring myself to. He doesn't offend me but I'm not his second greatest fan either.

It wasn't Welsh politics, it was student politics and I was the President. And still only the third female president in the history of the organisation and the only officer in 15 years who has made the admin woman smile.

What's so good about Daniel Craig?

I'm glad.  That would have been a bit surreal.

Hurrah for the writers union.  In a world with as much money as American TV and film, the writers wouldn't totally kill off the profits by getting paid fairly for their work.  And quite a few have reached agreements now.

And I will. Doctor Who. Cardiff. Yay!

Russian Reading Challenge 2008

Wow, apparently this has caught on like wildfire on the internets...  No, those don't count.  Unless you are going to read them again.  You have to read at least 4 books this year.

I haven't even picked my 4 yet...

This is what is so great about Daniel Craig:

Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.

I ought to read war and Peace just to know where my name came from but it's a bit long. Are there any very short or easy ones (like Spot the Dog) that I could read?

There are novellas like Death and the Penguin & Moscow to the end of the line.

There are short stories by Chekhov and Gogol.

There are poems by Pushkin and Akhmatova.
