we have a winner (or close enough).

This is the home made (by me) pin router shown in the original picture.  Here I am using it to create a mold (yes I did look like this in 1980).  Note the parts have not been painted.

Here a mold has been placed into a press and veneers with glue are loaded.  Once the press is closed, radio waves are used to dry the glue lines.

This is the measuring device I created to determine how the chair should fit.

The pin router was modified (original picture) to create the chair parts from the cold molded plywood.  The plexiglass template was attached to the inner surface.  These parts were then assembled to make the following.

techno, you're not the inventor of the reclining chair, are you?

at present, our couch has been disassembled in hope that it might come back to life as a different thingy.

Do you still do furniture?

Haven't done furniture since the early 1980s.  I still remember a bunch about it if you have some relevant questions.

nothing in particuliar, but, quite interestingly, my gf is sawing plywood right now as I type to try to make some sort of headboard for our beds.

As an architect, I'm always interested in furniture and have wanted to try it. I also like woodworking, it's so much fun.
