Something seems broken. When I click on "42 days is dead" on the right hand side, currently saying "16 comments 8 new," I only see a page with 8 old comments... Tried refreshing...

I've seen problems like that for a while now. Didn't know if was ET or my system. You ain't alone.

Same here. Been seeing it for a few days. Didn't know if it was alcohol-induced. Feeling much better now....

Don't remind me. My local CAMRA branch were finally coming to a pub within decent cycling distance, but it's just started to rain and will continue all evening.

Cycling in the rain without the promise of a shower and a change of clothes is unpleasant at the best of times. Besdies with my knees in the state they are I'd be immobile for days if I tried a stunt like that

Drunk cycling is not good, Helen.

I got hit by a drunk cyclist once. That was interesting explaining to the prof I was working for.

MfM: I can't make it in today.

Prof: Why?

MfM: I was hit by a drunk.

Prof: Are you all right? How much damage did it do to your car?

MfM: It was with a bike.

Prof: He hit you on on your bike. Are you ok?

MfM: He was on a bike, I was walking.

Prof: You were hit by a drunk cyclist?

As I always ride in the road, that's not a problem. It's a long long time since I got so drunk that I couldn't ride in a straight line 2 feet from the kerb.

The rec list isn't counting comments right. Recent diaries and front page content seem to be counting correctly. Why? I don't know.

It seems that new diaries in the rec list are now showing the number of new and total comments properly, for me anyway. So maybe it's just a matter of waiting for the older diaries to fall off the rec list.
