Yesterday felt autumn-ish here in Colorado Springs, and this morning it's only 33 degrees outside. Brrr!

it's only 33 degrees outside

By European standards, that's pretty hot...

I think he means Fahrenheit. That's one degree centigrade, which is cold in most places outside of scandanavia.

I intended the above as subtle hint that the unit is missing...

I thought it was an unlikely error, but wanted to make sure.

1 degree is pretty much on the cool side for Denmark as well. Of course Scandinavia includes Norrbotten as well... Where they put two meter tall sticks in the side of the roads to they can see where the road is in winter :-P

Ok, so I was thinking "These people know just as much, if not more, about degrees F and degrees C than I do, so obviously this is 33 F and I don't need to convert it to 1 C. Plus, I don't know how to put in the little degree circle thingy."   :-)

Anyway, it's 50 (F) now, and will probably get up to 70 (F) this afternoon. So it's a nice sunny day but is autumn-ish. We have the wrong sort of trees for nice colors; mostly they turn brown and fall off without much fanfare. Right now maybe 10% of the leaves are off.

You made it perfectly clear you are in Colorado, and they are smart enough to know we use F here in the states.

We're having actual autumnal weather here.  It seemed like we only had about a week of fall last year: it rapidly went from summer to winter.  This year everything is perfectly on schedule.  And it happened overnight.  One day it was 90 and sunny and humid, the next day, when we woke up, it was drizzly, overcast, and the leaves had started to turn.  I cannot tell you how perfect I believe fall in a big city is.  It's like cities were made for fall.  It's magical.   Also, I'm a night person, so I like that it gets dark early.

Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.

However, we still have to use a calculator to know if a given number is hot or cold or just right -- and would be happy if you'd do the courtesy of converting into civilised units yourself :-)

Well, when I talk about Paris, some put me in Texas. So when you mention Colorado Springs, you can expect some people to think you are in Spain too...
