not here, but I was in a school today and they had a rather moving ceremony.

I also think the BBC have been doing more than usual in commemorating it and the programmes have been dignified, sombre but not morbid.

I just think there is an argument ot be made about comparing the waste of lives in WWI due to incompetence from the senior officer corps and the waste in Iraq and Afghanistan from an incompetent political elite.
