I don't know anything about the camera. We no longer have the manual; it seems to be pretty much point and shoot. But I just spoke to the film seller for 20 minutes (you would have loved it-a real lover of argentique) and he said that it would not be a problem to develop the film in France. He's sending me the name of friends who have a photo lab in Paris plus he said if I sent him the film his photo club would develop the film manually for free. But he suggested that I take 3 films ISO 100 and 2 films ISO 400. He's sending it out today. Very pleasant conversation.

Cool.

I would say that, to me, using a P&S really misses the point of using film instead of digital, but that's a personal thing.

This is just temporary to see if she wants to stay with film. Fourteen year old girls are quite busy you know, especially with MSN and Facebook, and we're going to see if she wants to devote some time to argentique. I was teaching her, the other day, with my D80, how to vary aperture and shutter speed while being on manual and auto ISO. After about six or seven adjustments we finally got a good indoor photo of her. I then said to estHer let's put it on P to see what the camera says. Guess what, it came out exactly to where our final shot was.

I've just received a very interesting e mail from my film seller. I'm going to forward it to you in case you're interested.

Far too busy to even think about having to deal with 14 year old boys.

Life should consist in at least fifty percent pure waste of time, and the rest doing what you please.
