I'd actually spent some time looking at it a while ago, and it's not obvious what is wrong, exactly. I'll try and take another look soon, but I'm going to be swamped at work catching up after an unscheduled ten day break that has been the opposite of relaxing.

Funeral tomorrow. Yay. Turns out that he'll be buried in the graveyard of a church that is maybe 200m from our house here: I'm going to need a lock for my liquor cabinet at Hallowe'en.

It's a good sign that you think of us in these times (though you probably also need a break from the condolences.)  Means you're either ignoring the pain, or dealing with it well, or more likely, both.

You're a heart of this space, just so you know.

Well, I can't be dealing with it all the time, can I? I'd break. Though Christopher is a wonderful distraction from the whole horror show - I can't afford to break, I have him to look after. Though it would be nice if he would stop chewing my arm ...

Though him chewing on your arm is exactly what the doctor ordered.

I remember as we left the cold room where my father was laying, my son said, "Don't you get the feeling he was really, finally at peace?"

At some other point in my time with my son, he graciously reminded me, "Hey Pop, don't forget i'm more genetically advanced than you."

He has teeth: I'd check that doctor's qualifications.

And by "a while ago" I mean three weeks or something like that ...

It's a good sign that you can joke about it - in the tradition of Irish wakes. Condolences too.

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner - that I moved to Nice. Blog - Nice Experience

Don't worry about it.

And if helps to know, my family is burried in the graveyard ... on my family's property!  My uncle ran a cemetery.  That's doesn't screw a kid up for life or anything.  I am all about the undead...

Hm.  Maybe that was less helpful than I thought it would be.

Anyway, do what you have to do now (not messing with the comments.)  Unless messing with the comments helps. :)

Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
