Thinking of it, I have no good idea, either. Beolingus gives "old man" or "geriatric". At any rate, I believe the German word has positive/reverent connotations, am not sure about "geezer" in English (or maybe I'm too much influenced by Granpa Simpson's image).

'Geezer' depends on who is speaking. If cockney, the object is simply a 'bloke' - a standard male. In the US there is an additional 'old' attached to the meaning.
