Leans: Virginia, per Keith, leans to Obama.  Georgia I didn't hear but assume it leans McCain.  SC leans McCain.

That's a gain of 28 and may be a bit low considering the massive Obama turn-out.

7% of precincts reporting, Obama is ahead. 50/49. That's early.

Any clue what the reporting order is? Are we getting the urban-Dem precincts in first?

Not sure.  Waiting for Chuck Todd to haul his computer-map-thingy out.

Indiana First is centered on Gary and the surrounding district.

It is the most reliable Democratic area of Indiana.

I don't know what precincts have been called but usually the urban areas are the last to report.

I hope not. Now a 51/48 lead for McCain, though.

Gary is a majority of the District and about 78% black.

It ain't going McCain.

Basically, right now, it looks like Obama is performing way ahead of Kerry in a lot of once-heavily GOP areas.  I mean 40-point net swings in some areas, from a Kerry share of 30% four years ago to an Obama share of 50% tonight.

That's at least what they're saying so far.

At M51-49O in Indiana, with places like Gary still not having reported, Obama's in pretty damned good shape.

Bush won the Indiana by 20% in 04.

If Obama can keep it close in the rural and downstate areas the urban north should bring it home.

What's the semantics there?

Too close = we don't know?

Too early = we think we know, but don't want to look stupid?

WV called for McCain, CNN, Fox

Yes.  So far Obama's doing very, very well along the I-4 Corridor.  He's winning the outlying counties around Tampa.  He's winning Orlando.  That bodes well if it holds up.
