Yeah it's been suggested before. But you have to change your settings in advance, and click on every comment one at a time to see what's in it... Thumbnails would be better than that...

And how do you tell lurkers and newcomers that the Photo Blog now on the FP calls for this and that settings change for those without high bandwidth?

I don't know how possible it is in Scoop, but the "Read More" link could be modified so that it automatically loads the thread as dynamic threaded... Should be a feature request for ET 2.0. Having a "low bandwidth" option so that some threads are automatically loaded as dynamic.

And warning users to beware of loading the thread is simply a matter of asking InWales and LEP to insert the appropriate text above the fold...
