Perhaps it is better to cut this piece in multiple parts. It is now very long, and seems to cover too many subjects. You are giving an overview of possible renewable energy sources, but somewhere in the middle you switch to a more detailed description of electric cars, and in the intro you are pointing to a very speciic technology while the last parts are about politics.

Pehaps you can make more focussed pieces about each of these related but separate topics?

It's quite a long story indeed.

It's an effort to make the case for EV's + CSP a solid, concluding one.

Often postings deal with a part of the picture, which adds to the readability.

This is another approach and perhaps over the hill..

very good, academic overview, emil, thanks.

there are some very interesting related comments in this diary http://www.eurotrib.com/story/2007/6/24/151536/591

you may enjoy, if you haven't already, related to the sahara/cable-to-europe potential.

Thanks Melo, very interesting posting you point to.

How do you perceive the potential of EV's setting the stage for CSP, as suggested in the parent posting ?

Kind regards,
