I used to have a mongoose (the short chassis type) when I was a child and we got along very well together... So those meercats always fascinate me ! :-)

Not to speak of the "Kidnapping of the Sabines" they do, when in the wild :-)

Well... You just need a longer lens, some meercats... And a lot of patience :-)

The problem with patience is that,  while its OK in the wild, in a zoo or on the street you become conspicuous, as people pass by and return to still see you, not always knowing what's it for...! The older you get, the weirder it looks like !
