P.S. Thanks for this too, LEP/rafifoon. I will look at the ET Friday photoblog and certainly would like to contribute some photos and maybe some other images of mine but I have to find a way to do this.
On my website I put some code on the pages which have many of my graphics, to stop people stealing images by clicking on them. So to unblock them, in order to post some here, I'd have to remove the code and that's a hassle.
The solution would seem to be to upload a selection of images on flickr, or similar site, and then upload them here from there. Any better suggestions?

Sounds like a good plan to me!  We'll look forward to seeing your contributions.

I use Picassa which I find very easy to use; except for how to reduce the photos under to under 100 kb. (You'll need a g mail address for Picassa.)I eventually discovered how on a forum. If you want to try Picassa let me know and I'll tell you how.

Assuming you have Picassa loaded and set to pick up images on your desktop you do the following. You go to Picassa back to library and click on the original photo which will open it  and may be 3 megabites.
After you open the original photo you click on export on the bottom right of Picassa set to 600 pixels and either normal or minimum.
It will then open its own folder  with the reduced image. If the image is in another folder click on the folder to release the image. Then drag it to the desktop.
You then reopen Picassa library and miraculously there will be a folder which says desktop which will include the reduced image. You then open it and send it to your web album assuming you have a g mail account. I always send it to a folder that says do not delete since if you do ET will lose the image also.
Et voila. You find the link to this photo set it at 800 or 400 if you want it  smaller and paste the link into ET

I've now signed up with Picasia, downloaded the thingy that lets me upload stuff from my Mac and uploaded two albums of my photos so far. Now all I have to do is wait and see what the topic of the next ET Friday Photoblog will be and I'm ready to go. Thanks!

great natalie!

you can toss a pic into an open thread or a salon too, if you like, it makes a nice break from text...
