Any bets ? Thoughts ?
Personally I think MU have been pretty ropey in the last few games so I think Chelski will shade it, but suspect it could be high scoring, 3-2 something like that. keep to the Fen Causeway
If he's not fit, then C. Ronaldo will score and help Utd to the win.
I'd like to believe that M. Ballack has brought his game tonight, a "warmup" for the EM, and that we'll see some great football. I'de also like to see how the russian mafia will deal with the hordes of Brits there. Skennah Kowa
Curiously, I keep hearing Russian Man United fans being interviewed.
2. Uhm, the Russian police are not the Russian mafiia. And if things get out of hand, it'll be the OMON - scary straight otta Chechnya paramilitary special ops forces who will whip them into shape. And ... they are not afraid of using a little violence. Their motto is "We know no mercy and do not ask for any." yikes. Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Man United fans come from everywhere except Manchester (cos then they'd support Man City, it's the way it is).
I know the type. The University of Miami has a similar fan base.
Actually, I think Manny U is likely the only foreign team a good chunk of Americans could name. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
You might be interested to know that Chicago has a significant soccer (gulp - sorry, its what we call it) following here. Those Latino immigrants we accuse of taking our jobs have really made the sport popular. Actually, it's just a big immigrant town. Latinos, Irish, Eastern Europeans ... Lots of soccer fans. Also, Chicago has a pro team. I don't really know what it's like in other parts of the country, but the last world cup was wildly popular here - everyone was watching. I frankly don't remember it very being so mainstream in the past. Anyway, yes, I see people sporting Man United gear around town. DoDo, can I call these people Sovoks? There's something Sovokish about it, no? Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Although our pro team is now awful. And, being from Chicago, you know what that means: It's the stadium's fault, and they need a new one. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Hm... you know, the Cubs haven't had new stadium in a while. ;) Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
We blame the "curse." We feel sorry for the team. Having to play while cursed. Not their fault they suck (actually they are doing quite well now) - it's the curse's fault. Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
