An old photo. Excuse the little white dots. I don't know what they are.

I don't know - and somehow I don't feel very inclined to find out :-)  It seems "chic" but soulless ?

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner - that I moved to Nice.

There were some people eating on the left but I cropped them out; I was playing with my new little Canon while having a coffee. The place is a basement cafe in a museum. I not particularly fond of the photo but I like the reflections.

What is that V sign that estHer does in a lot of photos?  It's not something I've noticed UK youth doing.

Isn't that the peace symbol?

I think so, but it isn't something I've seen make it into British culture. Although the V - two fingers up at ya - sign is often used.

I"m not sure we could classify estHer as part of the French culture. She is sui gemeris :-)

Looking into an English pub (see the coloured lights and table) in Bologna with its wonderful arcades reflected in the pub door.

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner - that I moved to Nice.

It's a bit like the multiple exposure effect from my holga.

I've been trying to reflect on who and what I want to be...

The school year finally ended, with ok results for myself. Half of us were sent away. My vacation started today. I'm finding it difficult to get into vacation mode, I've worked so hard for school and for other things lately that I feel guilty if I sit in front of the tv doing nothing for 20 minutes.

I have plenty of things to think about and to decide this summer. But first, I'm off to Finland next week to celebrate Midsummer and to see my loved ones (including my husband, who has been working in Sweden since April).

It's been a tough year.

Nice to see you here tzt. If it's ok with you I would like to send you an email. estHer is talking about going to photography school even though she's only 14. I'd like to ask you some questions.

Yes, of course it is OK! I'll try my best to answer. But perhaps you'd better use tzt (at) gmail (dot) com instead of the one in my siggy. I seem to have a problem remembering that one's password...

I don't remember, took the picture a couple of years ago. But if there was a rainbow it was behind the house.
