I really like that!

Has a slightly off-balance Japanese graphic feel to it. Composition, colours and accents, the bambooiness of the deck panels and their axonometric tilt, the calligraphic bird - all are reminiscent of my most favourite artist, the Old Man Mad About Drawing, Katsushika Hokusai

You can't be me, I'm taken

I think the off-balance feel is provided by the intersecting sets of parallel lines.

and the fact that  the picture is framed so the horizon line (if you could see it) would be tilted off horizontal - see the pot.

Taken with the NikonD200 at full 200mm zoom...and then cropped...

Hmmm...the 2nd one could have been a contender for the 'reflections' section...looks like the sun is reflected in her eye...

Christopher watches the world go by.

He really looks like a future philosopher and ponderer to me.

And I just can't believe that he is already sitting. Wasn't Christopher just born yesterday?

Well, he's not quite sitting yet - he's propped up in the corner there - but almost. He's able to stay propped up!

He looks like a union organizer to me- if unions still exist when he grows up!

Gorgeous day in southeastern Minnesota, June 14, 2008. The first crop of hay has been cut.

Visited a nearby sport aviation airport.  This little gem was built in someone's garage.

Ailerons anyone?  These giants means this plane is fully aerobatic with a roll rate of at least 180 degree per second.

A high-performance sailplane flares for landing.  These things are SO graceful.

Slightly grainy since it was shot at ISO 1600 (must remember to reset the limit.) It was reminding me of Colman's comment on how he can somehow tell when a photo has been taken on a Nikon.  The same kind of thing has been annoying me of late, largely in that the photos are not as sharp as I want them to be.  Although when I first got the camera I thought it was amazingly sharp.  Am I just getting used to the limitations now?

I borrowed my friend's 80-400mm lens. Top stuff!
