My only semi decent attempt at panning. I'm rubbish at panning.  I've seen some photos where the subject is so sharp and the background shows the blur of movement (eg a person on a horse).  I haven't got the hang of it yet.

Wow.  I think you DO have the hang of it.  You can tell from my horse shots of granddaughter that I'm just a point-and-shoot amateur, but your shots look professional.

P.S.  Fran's vegetable shot below makes me think a good theme some week might be "food" or "dining" photos.  Or has that already been done?

Thanks. It did take dozens of attempts to get one that worked but I guess that's how to learn!  And food/dining photos would make a good theme, I don't think we've done that yet.
