One of the things I noticed in the Paris suburbs is that the first development around the suburban railway stations was independent houses sprawl at the beginning of the century ; and the more dense neighbourhoods, that were built later where Paris itself had filled up, were built farther from the railway stations - very inefficient... Auferre, trucidare, rapere, falsis nominibus imperium; atque, ubi solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant.
