This time it was her bringing the big bag of Nikon toys while I just packed two Bessa film cameras (with a lens each) and my little GR-D II point and shoot digital. Ok, so three cameras, but they were very small.
Liliana just took another trip to Greece, this time to the island of Paros. Here are some photos...the first being the sunset while on the ferry through the Cyclades.

This must be one of the more decent apartment views. I went round on a lazy Friday today to see a dear designer friend in Helsinki - the first Finn I ever met way back in '64. This panorama is from his balcony. It is the bay leading into the south harbour. The red and white ship is the Viking ferry to Stockholm that leaves at 6 pm. The rival Silja ferry is concealed behind the building to the left. In the centre are two islands both with summer restaurants. You get to the restaurant on the right (red spire poking up) in a small launch that goes from the shore directly beneath the balcony. It's a 2 minute trip.
The panorama was auto-stitched together using the PSE panorama tool and covers about 170 degrees and 5 frames. First time I'd used it - but I was amazed how well it worked. The original panorama before resizing for ET was about 50 meg. You can't be me, I'm taken

I've been under that pier myself, directing a commercial for Finnish xylitol chewing gum. The slogan was 'Pure Jenkki, you'll love it". Pure Jennki can be read as pure American or chew the brand. We shot without a 2000 dollar permit and when confronted by the police I told them them I was a Finnish film professor and the crew were my students. And got away with it.
