I'm not sure EDF and Areva are pals with Sarkozy (just google Areva's Lauvergeon, and how she has bee nthe only person to say no to Sarkozy lately, on several things  - and to keep her job, so far).

Nuclear is not insecure. And if it's done right, it's very cheap.
