Who else here is using firefox 3.0?

Just found something horrible security-wise in it,  enough to make me consider moving to opera. Look at the address bar, click on the page of paper just to the left then hit the more information button, then view saved passwords, finally the show passwords button. choose the yes option  Now I've got rid of the old version so don't know whether this is a new feature, but what halfwit with far too much faith in human nature thought that that would be a good idea?

I'm still on v2.0.0.15 for Mac, and am not sure what you mean by the "page of paper" anyway?  But just in general, I always set my browser to not remember passwords because it just doesn't seem like a good idea.

I suppose it's more or less always possible to track down that kind of password, with smart memory scooping...

The safest security measure is still to make sure nobody can get to your computer...
