Valverde takes the first stage and the yellow jersey. That was a special finish. It could be quite a good year.

No previous winners in the field, so wide open.  But i thought Heiki took the pole for McLaren?  ;-)

I know your heart is at Silverstone, for the second to last ever.  Where Lewis keeps compounding his errors.

I'll miss the race tomorrow while i'll be at Germany - France baseball.

Lewis represents a lot of things, some good, some bad. Perhaps I should diary about it some time.

Valverde is the favourite of my favourite sports commentators, so my TV was overjoyed :-)

A less funny diversion. I happened to also read up on the state of the doping investigation kicked off by the raid in Spain in 2006. I see the issue practically ended in Spanish courts! Apparently, the majority of the dopers, who are allegedly top footballers and tennis players rather than cyclists, have never been revealed. But there were rumours about Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Can any one of our Spanish contingent find background articles from when the trial ended without finding anyone guilty? This really stinks to high heaven.
