Well, what is it that we are obsessed with? Seems to me that it wouldn't matter if athletes were grown in test tubes and were only 13 yrs old, provided there was no definitive proof, no drugs and, most of all, no video. Guess I am just warped. If sanity be culturally normative, then by the norms of this culture I claim insanity.
