I was at some friends' anniversary bash last night, and stepped outside for a moment to find myself staring straight at a fine partial eclipse of the moon. Probably half the world saw it, but I didn't know there was going to be one, so the surprise was a bonus. Nobody else at this fiesta knew about it either, and nobody cared.
