Oh, and while things are finally moving towards an SPD-Greens minority government in Hessen state, with Andrea Ypsilanti expected to stand before the regional parliament for election for PM on 14 November... Berlin's important SPD mayor Klaus Wowereit (see profile) called for full party solidarity with Ypsilanti.

I'd missed that comment. But it really is laying it on a bit thick, don't you think? A little less obvious word choice - Ambition, ehrgeizig would probably be more effective. This just invites mockery.
