At 13:00 here in Bremen, the temperature has just risen to 0C.  It snowed about a cm or less, though anyone who actually experiences winter would never call this snow, but rather a dusting.  Still, the snow hasn't melted on the glass roof, evidence that you can build high insulation glass into your house.

I really want to live in a passive solar house.  On the Seine, with Bremen to my left and San Francisco to my right, the Maldives across the river and the Blackfeet Rez bordering Glacier National Park as my back yard.  Easy to please, i guess.

congrats, J! (and J)

Werll it's more likely than those of us who want honest politicians.

Any idiot can face a crisis - it's day to day living that wears you out.

You never mentioned high insulation glass when you tlaked about the roof.

How does that work anyway ? Triple glazed ? What's in the gaps between the glass ?

Yes, when i answered you're last comment, perhaps on an OT.  Thick double, gas vacuum, tight metal seals.

and here's a musical image of my passive home in Paris written above.
Written by old friend Jesse Winchester, and performed by middle of the road icon Jimmy Buffet.
