This was a spot in Brecon that I've photographed a number of times before but not with fog.  I passed through the day before coming back from Builth and we were driving through incredibly heavy fog but looking up I could see patches for blue and I knew we were only just under the cloud.  We started to climb out of this valley and the fog stopped abruptly, it was amazing.  But my colleague didn't want to stop to indulge my photography obsession!

I went through it again the next day coming back from Llandrindod and we stopped this time so I was able to get the shot.  Conditions were identical to the day before.

The shot with the star and lights was Queen Street in Cardiff city centre.  The one of the houses by the river is the view from my neighbour's flat in Butetown at about 8.30am.
