So, my prediction. Things settle down/get better between now and mid July, and then the fun begins. I'll note this comment and come back to it in mid Aug. '09. In the end, might makes right. Nothing has changed since the caveman.
Watching Washington Journal (CSPAN) and a caller mentioned the term "pump and dump". I guess this is old hat. The powers behind the scene cause the DOW to become artificially inflated and then rapidly deflated in order to bilk the middle class and grannies. Old stuff. Been around forever. In the end, might makes right. Nothing has changed since the caveman.
The term used above, "pump and dump" as it applies to the Stock Market, should not be confused with the same phenomenon experienced by my ex-wife Julie back in the late 70's when she was screwing a Ball Bearing Salesman (I'm not making this up) behind my back. THAT pump-and-dump is totally different. Just to be clear. In the end, might makes right. Nothing has changed since the caveman.
Actually, to be completely accurate, what Julie experienced was the old "suck and chuck" but that's splitting hairs. In the end, might makes right. Nothing has changed since the caveman.
