beautiful, IW.

the texture and use of focus are what work really well for me, as well as those colours...

Thank you :)
It's hard to make a bad picture on that particular beach at sunset. It's in Adraga, some 40km north of Lisbon.

Great shot
I know you had to be there, but you most certainly conveyed the feeling.
Thanks

Great shot & it certainly describes, oh so subtly where you transported the viewer.
The sunset, in the depth you captured, is an added bonus.

It's Adobe Photoshop.Go to Layer, then Effects and then Drop shadow. There you can choose what color your shadow will be, how deep, how much blured etc. There are more interesting Effects there...you can experiment...I love to play with Photoshop , when I am in the mood...There must be more maybe even better programms on the market. My Photoshop is an old one...

In a day or two, I'd have had seacoast pics of my own to share!

I go out before dawn tomorrow. My old stomping grounds on this side of the Atlantic, we've the Labrador Current to deal with - it'll be cold and windy.

My new smartmedia card arrived yesterday so I'll give that panorama feature (which I've never been able to try) a go. I haven't gone out with the camera just for the sake of using it in years. Hope, as always, to return home bearing rare trophies of beauty and wonder. :)

I still blame In Wales.
