it comes with the territory.
beppe grillo is the face of the revolution, his ideas and willingness to shout them from the rooftops -and online!- mark him as a focal point, maybe the focal point in italy against the madness.
especially as he has marco travaglio backing him up, ace reporter and presence of calm, detached lucidity, whereas beppe is a flaming roman candle, primed to ignite hourly.
italy is the poster child for why the media must be, and be percieved to be fair and w-a-a-a-y out of reach of political weather. a hard thing to do, with its power so entwined with politics, but take a good long look at what happens if it's not.
and please europe, step in and take the keys away from this drunk-on-ego lunatic by forbidding such a chokehold on media as exists here, it's utterly unconscionable, and is stomping on the fingers of a country that's clinging to the edge.
italy would sink like a stone without the EU, why continue to pour money into it when it's obvious where it's ending up?
hint... NOT where it should...
aznar, blair, bush have left the stage, why shouldn't italy be next to take a giant leap forward?
thanks de Gondi, top notch as always. ~Government budget deficits are not nearly as dangerous as the deficits we have created in vital and complex natural systems.~ Naomi Klein.
