An investigation in Bari broke today after a witness declared she had been paid to attend two evenings at Berlusconi's Rome residence recently. Patrizia D'Addario declares that she has proof of both encounters. She alleges that the first time she arrived at Palazzo Grazioli she found another twenty women in waiting and was not chosen that time to participate. The party coincided with Barack Obama's election, a limper at the time for Mr. Berlusconi's fortunes.

Ms. D'Addario was recently presented as a local political candidate supporting Mr. Berlusconi's party.
She alleges that Berlusconi did not come through on a promise to facilitate a personal building permit. She also declared that her house was burglurized mysteriously. Although Berlusconi just visited Bari for the election campaign, she was not allowed to follow his entourage. Apparently a series of delusions prompted her decision to out Berlusconi. At the same time, unknown to her, there was an investigation into prostitution racketeering by the procura of Bari stemming from an investigation into corruption practices in hospital contracts and construction.
There is another error that escaped me: D'Addario actually consumed her relation with Berlusconi on Obama's election night. She had not been chosen on a previous occasion in mid-October 2008.
